As
soon as you arrive to Juan Santamaria Int Airport, a representative
will be waiting for you to transfer you directly to Arenal. Arenal
is famous for the Amazing Arenal Volcano. At Arenal we will arrange
for you to stay in the Arenal Lodge. This Lodge is the perfect place
to have a stunning view of the Volcano.

Areas around the Arenal
Volcano and Lake Arenal are fantastic for serious bird watchers. Our
expert bilingual naturalist guides will find a wide variety of
species for birders. You are most likely to see toucans, parrots,
oropendolas, colorful tanagers and parakeets. For the more
experienced birdwatcher, we can focus on seeing royal flycatchers,
white-fronted nun birds, cinnamon woodpeckers and other less commonly
seen species.

Days 4 - 5
|
On
Day 4 we transfer you by jeep and boat to Monteverde on a very
exciting trip. In Monteverde we will accommodate you in Hotel
Heliconia. The Hotel offers a perfect setting for visitors who love
bird watching, nature photography and serenity of a mountain retreat.
It has been designed to offer-style comfort in the warmth of all
wood construction.

Activities:
We
have left one open day for you to explore the area on your own. Two
recommended activities are the skytrek and skywalk.

Days 6 - 8
|
We
will transfer you to Jaco Beach where you will be staying at Hotel
Canciones del Mar right at the beach. In this place you can enjoy
the serenity of the ocean and do some bird watching in the Cara
National Park.

National Park Tour
This Park is
located in a transitional zone
rainforest area, between the dry North Pacific Coast and the very wet
South Pacific Coast. For this reason in the area there is a great
quantity of wildlife that can be observe. Among the animals that can
be observe are the white-faced monkeys, howler monkeys, scarlet
macaws, sloths and many others.

Day 9
|
|
Today
we will transfer you back to San Jose to Hotel Garden Court. Hotel
Garden Court is conveniently located by Juan Santamaria
International Airport.

Day 10
Transfer to Juan Santamaria
International Airport.

Hightlights:
Our
first three nights feature the Arenal Area where you cannot only
observe the magnificent Arenal Volcano, but you can also observe the
diverse kind of birds of the area. Then we follow to Monteverde, a
protected cloud forest, and full of exuberant nature and with more
variety of birds. We end in Jaco Beach where you can relax and enjoy
the peace of the ocean. A few miles from Jaco you will find the Cara
National Park for bird and wildlife observation.
