We
will
pick you up at Juan Santamaria Intl
Airport and transfer you to the Hotel Garden Court.
This
hotel is conveniently located just 5 minutes from the airport. You can

Days 2 - 5
|
On
day 3 we will transfer you to Playa Hermosa, where
we will stay at Hotel Villa del Sueno.
Set amidst tropical gardens, nestled in the heart of Playa Hermosa,
Mediterranean style buildings surround a freshwater pool, thatched bar,
gourmet restaurant and boutique. The calm atmosphere invites relaxation.

These
beautiful sea turtles lay from 80 to 100 eggs each, weighing over 100
pounds and reaching over 2.54feet long. The Lora turtle may
become extinct within the next 20 years if their rate of decline is not
stopped. Although chances to see these turtles are possible at
any time, the main season is between Feb-May.
Palo Verde National Park Tour:

National Park, is known for preserving some of the most extensive
wetlands in Costa Rica, provide refuge for thousands of migrant and
resident waterbirds, numerous landbirds and many other animals.
Crocodiles relax in the sun while monkeys sprint through the branches
overhead as our jungle boat cruises slowly along a river.

Days 6 - 8
|
On
day 6 we will transfer you to famous Monteverde
National Park and we will stay in Hotel Arco Iris Ecolodge.
Arco Iris Lodge
offers a tranquil tropical retreat close to the center of the village
of Santa Elena, Monteverde. Accommodation is in well designed,
comfortable cabins, constructed by local craftsmen using building
materials from the surrounding
area.

Butterfly Garden
Selvatura Park has one of the largest butterfly
gardens in the Americas - 29,000 square feet (2,700 square meters),
with a gigantic dome covered in special photothermic plastic sheeting,
which helps regulate the garden's temperature, enabling us to shelter
more than 50 Costa Rican butterfly species from a variety of elevations
and climates.
Natural History
Hike to Monteverde Reserve:
This is a must do
while in
Monteverde. We can organize morning hikes in the company of
Adrian Mendez, our naturalist guide. Visiting the reserve with an
accredited guide transforms a walk through a pretty forest into an
amazing look at the life of the cloud forest and a great learning
experience.

Days 9 - 11

On day 9 we will
transfer you to Arenal Volcano and we will stay at the
Hotel Arenal Lodge.
This cozy lodge
located on a 2000 acre property,
surrounded by lush nature and a rain forest housing hundreds of exotic
birds and animals, offers a unique panoramic view of the volcano and
lake with/and our warm hospitality.

Birdwatching
Areas
around the Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal
are fantastic for serious bird watchers.
You are most likely to see toucans, parrots, oropendolas, colorful
tanagers and parakeets. For the more experienced birdwatcher, we can
focus on seeing royal flycatchers, white-fronted nun birds, cinnamon
woodpeckers and other less commonly seen species.
