In Costa Rica, there are two international airports that you can choose to arrive to. There is one in San Jose, the capital city. The airport code is SJO and its name is Juan Santamaria Intl Airport. This is the biggest and most modern airport in Costa Rica. Most of the flights arrive and depart from this airport and usually airfare is cheaper if you book your flight from here. There is also the Liberia International Airport(airport code LIR). This airport is located in the northern part of the country, closer to the Guanacaste beaches, which are the nicest and the best for surfing. This
is an excellent option if you are planning to have a beach vacation primarily and want to stay at an all inclusive beach resort.
