About our Travel Agency

The Costa Rican Connection is a family-owned travel agency that started in December 2002 in Boulder, Colorado. It was created from the vision of three Costa Rican siblings to promote Costa Rica in the USA and worldwide and try to make Costa Rica one of the best destinations for family, honeymoons and adventure travelers worldwide. We are sure about all the potential Costa Rica has to offer in the traveling business and every year more and more travelers get to know all the amazing and breathtaking locations that a small country like Costa Rica has to offer.

A lot has changed from those years as a start up company and The Costa Rican Connection has grown to be one of the leading travel agencies for family vacations, couples vacations and honeymoons in Costa Rica. Currently the owners are Jorge and Tatiana. All operations have moved to Costa Rica to give a better service to all our clients and be able to improve logistics of all our Costa Rica travel packages and consolidate our Costa Rican network with more than 200 partnerships. Therefore, we have committed to provide great customer service backed up with a large network of hotels, tour operators and transportation companies in Costa Rica to give our travelers the best vacation packages in Costa Rica.

Jorge has an MD from the University of Costa Rica and a masters degree in Medical Sciences and Genetics from the University of Florida. He also has great experience in web and database development. He has traveled a lot around the world and has been in more than 15 countries in South America, Central America, North America, Europe and Africa. He decided to cofound The Costa Rican Connection in order to follow his passion for travel and promote Costa Rica as one of the most beautiful and amazing locations in the world.

Tatiana is a business administrator with an MBA with emphasis in Finance from the University of Costa Rica and also an MBA in International Trade from Texas A&M. She has extensive knowledge in business administration and marketing and has worked in many local and international companies in Costa Rica before pursuing her dream of starting The Costa Rican Connection and promote Costa Rica with a top-of-the-line customer service followed by a hands-on involvement from the owners to provide the best service to all our travelers.

As part of The Costa Rican Connection group team we have Ericka, a young lady with great knowledge  and experience in hotel, transportation and tour reservations. We also have Rachel who is a premed student that helps us at the reception. We also have Ross who is also in charge of the phone reception. We have several other persons in our accounting department, reservations department, sales and customer service.
