Day One -We will pick you up in Juan Santamaria Int Airport and transfer you to Grano de Oro,
just 30 min from the airport. This hotel is a true oasis, a sanctuary
in the heart of the city. Grano de Oro was converted from a Tropical
Victorian Mansion and is located in the capital, San Jose. There is a
Spa where you can enjoy and relax on your first night in Costa Rica.
Day Two
-We will transfer you to the must-see Arenal Volcano where you will be
staying at Arenal Lodge. Arenal Lodge is the perfect place to have a
stunning view of the Arenal Volcano. Relax and enjoy the view
from the swimming pool or where you feel more comfortable.
Day Three
-You’ll travel to the far west side of the Arenal Volcano to begin the
tour in Arenal National Park. You’ll cross the river, and spend about 2
hours exploring the park. Your expert bilingual naturalist guide will
find the animals, point out indigenous rainforest plants and answer
questions. One of the day’s highlights is the spectacular hilltop view
of the sunset over Lake Arenal. After the hike, enjoy a beverage and
listen to the extraordinary sounds of the volcano. You will have the
opportunity to be at the natural hot springs of Tabacon in the
evening. These thermal pools flow from the veins of the Arenal
Volcano. You can swim and enjoy the thermal pools while on top of
you the Arenal Volcano can be observed.
Day Four
-Open day to relax at the hotel or to explore the many trails near the
Arenal volcano on your own. Just relax on this day and enjoy the
company of one another during this tropical and romantic honeymoon in
Costa Rica.
Day Five-We will transfer you to Monteverde, where you will have the chance to explore the Cloud Rainforest and stay at Hotel Heliconia.
Heliconia offers a perfect setting for visitors who love birdwatching,
nature photography and serenity of a mountain retreat. It has been
designed to offer home-style comfort in the warmth of all wood
construction. Also, the Spa is an amenity you might want to check
out with you spouse at this hotel.
Day Six
-Come with us to experience the Sky Adventure! SKY TREK is a secure
system of trails and zip lines, in the Monteverde Cloud Forest that
offers visitors the opportunity to observe and appreciate the nature
from different vantage points. SKY TREK is similar to other canopy
tours in Costa Rica, but incorporates some significant differences,
such as being of larger scale, metal platforms covered with
mesh-covered and steel rails which prevent falling or sliding.
Day Seven -On our seventh day we will go to the beach and arrive to Manuel Antonio to stay in Costa Verde.
Located on a coastal rainforest bluff overlooking the Pacific white
sand beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park. Costa Verde is the
perfect destination for those seeking adventure travel, ecoturism,
surfing, romance and more...
Day Eight
-Explore many protected islands and secluded bays, only accesible by
boat. Search for monkeys, sloths, coastal bird species, dolphins,
whales, sea turtles,etc. We will stop and anchor in a secluded
bay to swim, snorkel and enjoy lunch or dinner. Departure in the
morning or afternoon. Half day tour.
Day Nine
-Paddle through the smooth inland waterways of the Damas Island
Estuary, one of the most unusual types of vegetation on the planet, and
learn the importance of this delicate ecosystem. You will be given
paddling instructions at the beginning of the tour. We will have rest
stops with snacks and dinner provided at the end of the tour at a local
restaurant.
Day Ten
-We will pick you up at the hotel and take you back to San Jose. We
will drop you off at the Juan Santamaria International Airport for your
departure flight back home. This is a 5 hours ride so plan ahead your
departure time from San Jose to be on time at the airport! This ends
your honeymoon with many special memories and an unforgettable
honeymoon!
